If you love your family…

If you love your family, you will have courageous conversations about life and death. This seminar will help you do that.

Do you know why geese fly in V formation? I’ll tell you.

Studies show that birds by flying in V formation can increase their range by 71%. And military aircraft that fly in similar formations also improve fuel efficiency. But this isn’t about birds or planes, and I’ll tell you why at the end.

Most of us don’t wake up in the morning thinking, this could be my last day on earth. Instead, we live day to day with the feeling that “time is on our side”.

We think:
I can do that tomorrow, or next year, or ten years from now, and beyond…
But the problem is:
There’s really NO guarantee of tomorrow. Is there?

Recently, a funeral director friend of mine told me that some of the most difficult conversations are with families that just – weren’t – prepared.

Why is it so difficult?
Because these families are left with so many unanswered questions.
Which leads to even more…
– stress and anxiety
– so much uncertainty (about due processes, finances)
– and therefore, conflict within the family!

And this is further exacerbated by the pain and grief they’re (presently) experiencing,

ALL at a time where what is most needed is:
– clarity, peace of mind, compassion, a celebration of life, and unity among family and friends; not division or strife.
All of that makes good sense when you say it out loud.

So then, why are people not more prepared for death?
Well, for some, maybe it seems too sad or too morbid.

Like something rather not discussed. It seems much easier to pretend that death is far away, and thus most live under the illusion that says: there’s always going to be “more time later”. And that’s called denial.

For others, it’s not really denial with which they struggle. It’s just too overwhelming to think about. I mean, where does one even start? We’re just too busy living life. We don’t have time. So we just put it off until it’s too late.

Anyway, most would prefer that someone else just makes these difficult decisions. So they say, “When I’m gone, I won’t care anymore. I’ll let my kids deal with it.”

Really? Is that really what’s best?
If I could sum up all of these excuses in one word it might simply be: procrastination.

But Some things, especially related to death, just can’t be crammed in at the last minute or deferred to others. And loving our family requires making difficult decisions on their behalf. Who really wants to burden their family with costs and conflicts when they are grieving your passing?

But the crazy thing is: it’s not only about your death. The benefits of making preparations ahead of time, and having these somewhat uncomfortable but necessary conversations, completely transforms the way you live your life HERE and NOW; which is even MORE exciting.

So, how do I even begin to prepare?

What if a path was CLEARLY laid out for you, in a safe space, and with experts who could help you with many details in a way that’s not overwhelming or fearful, but peaceful instead?
What if you could have courageous conversations which help you and your family prepare for ALL of Life’s Passages, not just the ultimate (or final) passage.
Imagine having that peace of mind at ANY stage of your life:
– Whether you’re a young married couple, and you may feel like you have the next 70 years ahead of you.
– Or you have a young family, and you’re facing a pivotal point in your career.
– Or you’re getting ready to retire, and that’s a big life passage in itself!

That’s why I felt called to organize a special seminar where we do just that. And I’m personally inviting you to attend. It will be a time of learning and having conversations that will not only help with end-of-life planning but will also help you and your family prepare for all of Life’s Passages.

So what does any of this have to do with birds or military aircraft flying in V formation?

Well, we can learn a lot from what we see in nature. Basically, lead flyers help create a lift for those flying behind them. And in the end, everyone benefits from that!

I’m inviting you to help create a lift for those who are following behind YOU. But one step at a time. All you need to do right now is register for the Life Passages seminar. And check out the family group rate which can be used for any five people related to you, because preparing for life and death is one of the best ways to show love to your family.

I hope to see you there.
